Over the past few weeks, we have been engaged in thorough discussions with multiple VAT specialists on the newly released VAT legislation, namely Law Decree no 8 and Cabinet Decision no 52.
We have now been informed that the cost of VAT payable on unused sessions from packages bought in 2017, must be borne by the supplier. This means that REAL PILATES will bear the cost of all VAT due on unused sessions from packages bought in 2017.
For those who have already paid VAT for such packages, in the past 3 days, we will shortly credit back the paid amounts into your accounts on our MindBody system (our App), so you can use your credit towards the purchase of new products or services.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We can assure you that, truthful to our values and ethos, we thought we were doing what was right based on the advice that had been given to us. It now appears that we were misinformed, so we are taking swift action to rectify this and keep you up-to-date on this topic.
We wish the authorities had shared clearer instructions with businesses of our size on what the transitional clauses of the law mean and how they should be executed.
One thing is sure: we learn something new every day and we keep improving. #Kaizen
